Cottage Quilt Designs September 2006

SOME GOOD things have been happening at Cottage Quilt Designs! Two special people have joined the team. Dorothy Kurchak has become a
pattern tester for our patterns. She will be making the patterns and checking to see that yardages and figures are all correct
in the patterns. Kathy Reinhardt has become the editor and she will be reading and editing the patterns to make sure
you can understand all the instructions.

FIVE OF OUR designs have been accepted by two magazines! I'll be letting you know when you can see the quilts in the Quilter's World
and Cottonspice magazine issues.

CHECK OUT the new pattern which is the companion to Winter Friends Wall hanging. It's a pattern with a cardinal tablemat and chickadee
placemats. Great to make in Christmas colors or a winter season color scheme of gray, green and navy matching the wall hanging.

THE PATTERN ON SALE this month is Acorn and Leaf tablemat-an attractive and easy pattern with fusible web appliqués and fall colors.

QUILTING TIP: Have you ever bought fabric for a quilt in multiple trips to quilt shops trying to find just that right fabric? My trick to
being organized with all the fabric selections I'm buying is to cut and paste a 1 inch square of each fabric on a recipe card.
That way I have all the fabrics with me and not multiple bags hampering my hands in each store.

Happy and successful quilting!
Rochelle Martin
