Two new patterns are on the website. One is in the Applique section called Gallery of Birds. If you like birds and birdhouses then this pattern is for you! It features 10 blocks of specific birds in North America. Some of the birds are the bluebird, goldfinch, hummingbird, owl and more! The pattern has full scale layouts of each block and reversed templates of all the shapes for fusible web or freezer paper applique techniques. Use your favorite applique method with this pattern. This pattern is for those of you who love daffodils and piecing instead of applique! The pattern features a simple rail block with three fabrics and paper pieced daffodil blocks. Full instruction and paper piecing templates are included to help you every step of the way. There are step by step diagrams inside to help you sew the daffodil sections together perfectly. Quitler's Tip - Want to Make Your Piecing Easier? |
Here's a tip for those of you new to quilting. Have you discovered how to experience the joy of sewing a perfect seam? It's really quilte simple. I found my frustrations as a new quilter left for good when I bought a 1/4" quilting foot for my sewing machine. The price will vary with each kind of machine but it is totally worth it to run the edge of the seam along the side of the foot instead of trying to line it up with a line engraved on your sewing plate or masking tape 1/4" away from the needle!! Try it! You will wonder why you waited to make quilting that much easier! |
