THE PATTERN ON SALE this month is Tickle My Heart. It's a young girl's quilt made with raggedy edge heart appliques. The sample was made with
cuddly flannel and bright colors to delight and keep warm a special girl in your life!
The new patterns out this month are the Strawberry Swirl Placemat and Tablemat pattern and the Along the Garden Path pattern. Both patterns take
an intermediate skill level and are colorful and easy to make. Check out the patterns on
the website and you will see that they could add spring and whimsey to your home!.
QUILTING TIP: Do you struggle to find just the right fabric for your quilt projects? I have compiled a checklist for picking out fabrics. They are:
1. Does my selection include dark, medium and light fabrics?
2. Do the blue or green selections stay within the same hue?
a. Clear blue versus a teal (green/blue)
b. Grayed green versus a bright green or yellow green
3. Do I have a variety of scale in the prints?
4. Do the prints all reflect the same feeling such as young at heart, batik, country, cottage or whatever the look you are trying to achieve.
